Too Much Scoring

It seems like every game I play there is at least one defensive TD, and one kick return TD. It also seems like whenever a team gets into the redzone, it's an instant TD. Every game I play is 42-35 and what not. It's starting to drive me crazy.

Re: Too Much Scoring

Really? I only played one game thus far on All Pro, and I lost 14-3 (Redskins vs. Cowboys). What setting are you playing on? How are the offensive scores being made? Big plays, long drives, other?

Re: Too Much Scoring

Well someone has to play D. If both teams are scoring that much wow. Check my gamertag on madden and see my scores of you can look on easportsworld.com my games are hit and miss. But also hav close games where D-fense is key and just shouts-out the O. But never really had a high scoring game like this on Madden 10, Maybe on Ncaa 10

Re: Too Much Scoring

with updated sliders between All-Pro and All-madden, i am getting scores on the high side. It has been a LONG time since i have had a game like 21-14. Most games end up between 30-38 points for the winner and 28-30 pts for the loser.

Another thing that came to mind recently is this. In over 40 franchise games played, i have NEVER had a game decided by a FG or end on a last second FG (outside of a few OT games won on a FG). Most games i win are by 1-2 TDs or i lose by 10 points...which hasnt happened in quite a while. Actually now that i am typing, i dont think i have even played a game yet where i really felt dominated. The last game like that was the Lions vs Vikes in Yr 1 week 2 !!! And i only lost by 2 TDs. But it was close before the half.

Re: Too Much Scoring

I personally think it has something to do with very few broken up passes. Seriously, most of the time a passing play is only going to end in three possible ways...

1. Completion
2. Interception
3. Bad pass (either from being hit as he threw or from throwing on the run.

There are very rarely batted down balls by corners. Not to mention with the way the CPU QB plays (always just throwing the ball blindly to the closest guy when I get a defensive player close to him) causes so many user picks that are usually taken back to the house. My opponent usually goes 21-25, 3 TD, 3 INT. I usually don't do as well but that has more to do with the CPU pass rush always getting in really quickly and me not just chucking it to some guy and risking a pick.

Re: Too Much Scoring

I'll have a few very good reasonable scores for games but then have that one turnover fest.I just won a game 55-10 with sliders between all-pro/all-madden because they had 4 int's,3 fumbles.I had 4 defensive td's and a little less than 400 yards of offense.

Nothing like seeing Vinatieri pick up a fumble and run it in from 20 yards.

Re: Too Much Scoring

I know it's less than ideal, but I've been supersimming the ST plays for this reason...

The D TDs are another story...no real workaround for that...

But it's like, one every other game as of late...
