I dont know how I never thought about this.

I see that a lot of the issues present with the Madden franchise in the past 5 years has dealt with the fact of going next-gen, somewhat rushing out an engine, etc.

Its not only Madden that has had that problem, but it has taken so long for them to recover, as gameplay in games in 06-07 for ps2 were pretty much on par with what we have now.

So what happens when a next-next-gen system comes out? Are we going to have to wait 5 years for a playable game? Or are all these companies better prepared?

Idk just something that worries me as I think about how all these games are getting better, but keep saying in a few years they will be something great.

Yep. And right about the time when they finally get current gen Madden to where it's a great game, the nex generation of consoles will come out. Then we can start the whole process all over again!! Yaaay!!

Well they will have more this time as this gen's systems are going to have a longer life.

I will be waiting a couple years before I make the next jump whenever that is. I have heard that it will be 2011 at the earliest.
