Is Madden 10 the best football game ever?

Its the best madden of the "next gen" easy. Playing online with people who are sim is actually very fun. I also find the Franchise to be better than ever.

I would however rather shoot myself then play randoms, you people are idiots.

Man, that was heavy. Seriously though Dave you can't blame yourself. I'm sure the developers made the game they wanted to make, with a few concessions here and there.

Whilst I see this year's game as an improvement, I've come to realise over the past 6 weeks that my ideal version of Madden will probably never come to fruition. Simply because then it wouldn't feel like the Madden that the masses have played for years and EA will never risk losing that audience. So I feel that the game we have now will be the game we get for the forseeable future, with tweaks and additions of course.

Pretty heartfelt post. Don't think you should look at it as "you guys failed [the community]" given the circumstances - by the time you guys saw the game, I'm guessing it was mostly going to be what it was going to be. The review community (including the OS review) that saw the finished product a lot longer than you guys did mostly rated the game well. Very well in many instances. I'll say this:

Think of what Madden 10 might've been without community involvement. That's the sad thing to think about. Responsibility in making Madden better lies with Tiburon. Period.

+1. I can't stand playing the CPU for the omniscient QB issues, and would never ever play someone online in Madden whom I didn't know well.

But if you play online in OF with a crew you like, this game is amazing. It's definitely the most immersive experience I've had and is a ton of fun.
