is it best to play with the safeties. Give me your advice.

Depending on the play call or how the offense is attacking me determines if I user the Safety or MLB. I find very often you get more coverage sacks by controlling one of them as you can jump in front of a route instead of the computer just taking 20 seconds for their WR to get open on a drag route versus a linebacker.

On the PS2 version I always played with the Safety. Now on the PS3 version (1st year) I found myself using the DE's. After reading this thread I think I'm going to try the MLB.

I play almost entirely with a DE, will once in awhile use a LB in certain situation and maybe a safety once in a great while on plays where I believe they are running for sure, but want to send a safety way back to make sure like at the end of a half or something.

But mostly just the DE and for a sad reason. I suck playing any other position...

I play the safety sometimes, but I tend to be too aggressive going for picks and give up big plays. I usually play safety late game or when I need more run support, otherwise I play linebackers.

Out of curiosity, does ANYONE play corners? Is it even possible?

I'll play as the CB in a flat zone in goal line because they won't play it themselves very well. I also control hook zone (yellow zone) CB's once in awhile and nickle and dime DB's quite often.

Now, CB's in MAN coverage... not so easy

Didn't mention in the title that I'm playing the p2 version. Cause everytime I post something that deals with the p2 I get almost no response. But I enjoy hearing who other gamers control and why. Thing about the p2 version is that if you don't play with a safety, you get beat deep, alot. I enjoy playing with a safety, it's just that sometimes I would like to switch up, but with the level I'm on ( all-madden, with very hard sliders) if you switch up, watch out. It's bombs away and the cpu controlled man can't catch up. This said, I still love my version on the ps2, I have great games, don't always win, but hey, it wouldn't be fun if I always won. FYI Sometimes I do play with a corner. But only in zone coverage, usually cover 2
