How do they do it?

It's a gift, I guess.
You can't be serious. How is Ian supposed to respond to most of these questions? 95% of the comments are complaints about the quality of Madden's gameplay -- the sort of gameplay that's always been part of the Madden experience (suction blocking, ratings that meaning nothing, etc.) It's like buying a Chrysler and then complaining it's not a BMW, lol.

Here's how I do it. I rent the game each year, then decide it isn't worth purchasing. Try it. Use some discretion next time and keep your wallet in your pants. Give yourself the gift of not having to fuss and fume about what they fix or don't fix.

Renting game $5-15 dollars plus if you like the game that's another $59.99 plus tax. Not a economic why of purchasing a game.

Rented maybe 25 games the past 3-4 years = $250
Purchased maybe 7 of those games = $420
Did not purchase 18 of those games = savings of $1080

I got to play these games for a week -- including every version of Madden -- and saved myself over $1000 in the process.

Anyone who insists that renting isn't economically wise is probably someone who doesn't have much self-control, and has to rush out to purchase games on release day. It's a poor excuse, in other words.

Could you discuss some of the AI limitations that may make it difficult to implement:

1. Strong and Weak side defensive players: Sam, Will LBs; Strong, Weak Safeties; Strong, Weak DEs

2. How the 3-4 can become more realistic

3. Why every year there seems to be a few WR catch animations that dominate: last year the jump spin catch and this year the over the shoulder catch. How can we get more WR catch variety?

I'm asking these questions because I don't think they're easy to replicate in the game, and I'm wondering if we can just get some discussion going about how difficult it really is and if we'll be able to get it for the future.

Thanks

Please tell me that this thread wasn't all for nothing...

Again, just to be clear. Releasing details on what might be in patch 2 HAS ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO DO WITH MOST OF THE QUESTIONS THAT WERE ASKED HERE. Ian, please let us know if you intend on addressing these question. If you need somone to organize these q's, I have no problem with that.
