changes to the right stick

I just want to run an idea by everyone here and see what they think. First let me say I really enjoy playing madden 10. I was thinking maybe they should change the right stick from trucking and jukeing a returning it to pointing out defenders to block to the linemen. I hate when I'm running up the sideline and only have one person to beat with a blocker in front of me and the blocker runs in some other direction to block some guy that has no chance to get me. I think the should use L1 R1 to juke left or right and trinagle to truck.

Yea I know what you mean but instead of changing the right stick to do that why doesn't EA make blockers more aware of who to block? That would make the most sense because in real life you don't really see a blocker not go after a defender close by.

True but I like the idea of being able to point out who to block. sometimes there are two or more defenders in front and I just want to know for sure who is going to get blocked

Right stick is fine. A.I. needs programming that doesn't suck, period.

True but IRL the running back in suppose to follow his blockers because the blocker isn't going to be looking back at the running back to see who to block.

Like Poetique said the right stick is fine. EA just needs to fix the computer blockers to block better downfield. Plus it is a lot easier to just flick the right stick in a direction than it is to use the right or left bumpers to juke.

Something I kind of wish the included to the right stick is the spin move. It would give you more control of where your guy will spin and elimate the double spin by accident. Plus that could give us more control of stringing moves together.

I agree, it would also require people to be better at controlling actual footing than just pressing a button. Left/Right/Back = Juke, Forward = Truck, Circular Movements = Spins.

Yeah except it doesn't function like its supposed to half the time...

Either it turns into just a back juke, a back juke then a spin, or after the spin they do the trucking maneuver switch slows them down, and occasionally a back then side juke.

So then I guess what they really need to do is figure out a way to separate the stick movements better.

Trying to spin starting at the left or right compounds things even worse...

It could be intentional I suppose, but in such a case it makes it basically impossible to control the result.
