Once you go AP the game is never the same

Never used the Vikings before so I took them into practice mode to see what running with Adrian Peterson is like. I've used Chris Johnson before and I thought he was dominant, but Peterson is unstoppable. Except that 69 carry rating he's almost perfect. Now every other running back I will use in this game will feel like they have something wrong with them.

Thats nice. It just puzzles me that they gave one man 99 or so ratings in every stat except one. So 215 pound AP can truck, juke, spin, stiff,... and TRUCK all while out running Usain Bolt??? Comon Man give the guy some weakness (carrying means nothing).

Aside from holding on to the ball, what other weakness does he have? I've watched plenty of his games living here in the midwest, and yes, 215 pound AP CAN truck, juke, spin, stiff... and still outrun everyone.

He's a freak.

Lol, well that's more an issue with the game than AP's rating itself.

Cool but thats a big prob. A high truck rating should be given to a guy who can truck big guys(LBs DEs maybe DTs). AP, who usually tries to dodge defenders, trucks small players the majority of the time and makes the bigger guys look dumb while they go off looking for their broken ankles.
Its one thing to give him good ratings but its ridiculous to give him 99 in everything. Absurdity rules.

The guy is truly unstoppable in Madden. I started a Vikings franchise after the Favre roster update... played one game and then started another franchise with a different team because I felt so cheap using Peterson. He's unbelievable in the game. But I guess he's unbelievable in real life as well so whatever.

Re: Once you go AP the game is never the same

I've never fumbled once with AP, despite the carry rating.

... Heh, I just wish AP actually looked like AP in Madden though. They totally blew it on skintones this year. AP's is way off (per the previous update, haven't seen the latest). I think they are probably basing the tones off of their headshot photos which is a mistake since the lighting in those is always more exposing. They need to be looking at game photos to determine tones, it's the only accurate way to nail it and I know this because I did that when I made the 2K5 epak.
