Creating an ALL STAR team

All-star team Turn the salary cap off, find a player you want (for example, Calvin Johnson). Select him, go to "Edit Player", and change him to a QB. His rating will drop to 12. Press Start, and choose to keep the player without saving. Trade your lowest rated WR for him. The trade will be accepted. Then, go back in and change him back to a WR. You will now have Calvin Johnson without losing an important player. Repeat this process to create an all-star team.

Anyone tried this yet?

Um no...I personally like to do things realistic.

Re: Creating an ALL STAR team

It's a well known fact this can be done but most people go down the post above route. Won't work out for too long anyways because of the cap

Well first of all I love doing things realistic that is why I have a realistic dynasty and then a non realistic dynasty. So what do u mean it wont work for long? I thought if u turn off salary cap it wold work just fine. The idea of creating an all star team sounds fun.

Well obviously it's gonna work if the cap is off but that kind of takes away half the fun of Franchise mode. Each to their own though.

Re: Creating an ALL STAR team

You could do it without turning off salary cap and without editing player positions... but it involves a long and tedious process of trading draft picks for draft picks and gradually moving up...

Ex: 2nd, 2nd, 3rd for Bengals 1st
Then trade that first for a lower 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Then trade that lower first for an even lower 1st, 2nd, 4th
Repeat, repeat, repeat.

I've experimented with this to try and understand trade logic more... with the Titans I was able to get this team...

QB- Vince Young, Brady Quinn
HB- Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, Jonathan Stewart, Reggie Bush
FB- Brandon Jacobs, Lawrence Vickers, Lendale White (editied Jacobs after acquired)
WR- Calvin Johnson, Michael Crabtree, Desean Jackson, Devin Hester, Kenny Britt
TE- Greg Olsen, Vernon Davis, Jared Cook Jr.
LT- Michael Roos, Troy Kopog
LG- Ben Grubbs, Carl Nicks
C- Jason Brown, Leroy Harris
RG- Jeff Otah, Mike Pollack
RT- Dave Stewart, Phil Loadholt

LE- Elvis Dumervil, Javon Kearse
RE- Manny Lawson, Cliff Avril
DT- B.J. Raji, Jason Jones
LOLB- Daryl Smith
MLB- Jon Beason
ROLB- Keith Rivers
CB- Courtland Finnegan, Antonio Cromartie, Malcolm Jenkins
FS- Michael Griffin
SS- Reggie Nelson

Also did the same with the Cardinals defense...

LE- Darnell Dockett
RE- Tommie Harris
DT- Albert Haynesworth, Haloti Ngata, Glenn Dorsey
LOLB- Aaron Curry
MLB- Patrick Willis, Karlos Dansby, Lawrence Timmons, Gerald Hayes
ROLB- Shawne Merriman
CB- Nnamdi Asomugha, Darelle Revis, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Antonio Cromartie, Brandon Flowers
FS- LaRon Landry, Antrel Rolle
SS- Adrian Wilson

WR's Fitz, Boldin, Calvin Johnson, Crabtree, and Breaston
TE's Olsen and Vernon Davis

Re: Creating an ALL STAR team

if you get too many allstars on one team, at some point they will regress in skills since there is not enough opportunities to go around.
