Tate and his boys almost pulled out that win against Iowa yesterday..they just need a defense.
That is kind of lame he turned out so bad when you imported him. If he keeps progressing like he his, I think he will be a fine player in the NFL someday.

P.S. Steve Breaston looked really sharp again today for the Cards. Go Blue!!!!

Yeah, I hate when the NFL gets this kind of stuff wrong. Every video game in the country thought Vince Young would translate pretty well to the NFL. Real life must be bugged.

Vince Young did translate pretty well to the NFL. Until his mental breakdown (see Rookie of the Year 2006). Plus, Madden 10 added in short, mid, and deep accuracy this year which would not have helped Young's rating or stats in previous Maddens had those ratings been in there.

Ha the whole thank god for Ian thing again. Your cool.

Anyway, this random ratings thing from NCAA imports are weak. I hate importing a guy I used for 4 yrs just to draft him comes out a 57 rating when his stats AND ratings were top grade.

Re: So, it doesn't matter how you preform in NCAA?

The reason why is that in madden draft classes if players do not fit a certain height/weight then they have horrible ratings coming in.

For QB's an imported rookie must be at least 6-3 220(maybe 215ish) to not have totally poor numbers.

Tate is like 180 lbs and about six feet tall right? That is why he was 56 OVR.

If he was say 6 foot 4 226 lbs coming in he would probably be rated 80 something with much better speed and throw power with A potential.

Yeah those "random" potential ratings are "weak." IRL I played FS in D-I, ran a 4.47, made 2nd team all-conf as a Sr with 5 picks but didnt get a combine invite and only one camp invite. Did I mention that I was 5-10/180? Guess my potential rating was around a 14 and I am sure my size had "nothing" to do with it.
