Carry franchises over between madden versions?

Might have been suggested before but I dont ever remember hearing anything about it.

I think it would be neat to be able to import my M10 franny in M11 and have the option of continuing on with. I'm sure there are some tech hurdles to this but I think this would be a nice feature.

I can usually get a few franshise seasons in but it would be cool to have one I could run for a super long time.

i have een wanting this for like 7 years if they did this there would be no reason for me not to buy each year instead og the 2 year cycle im on

This would be a freakin sweet idea!! I have never heard this and now i probably will wish I had never heard because I will want this in the games and will be sad since it will probably naver actually happen.
But yea, it would be a great way for EA to introduce new franchise options each year and you could just go on forever!
What would be the tech issues to overcome with this? Is there a downside anyone can see?

I think this is a good idea - but it would be reeaaaally hard to pull off. I'm not good in the computer language, but can anyone fill me in if they can even transfer save files from one game to another and have them work in a completely new game?

Wow I thought that I was the only one who even thought of this. I am actually finishing my Madden 09 season and will try to make the adjustment into my madden 10 doubt it will work out well but, I couldn't leave my Browns at 4-4 I want to finish it out.

Uh...why? You can play for up to 30 seasons. Why would you need to continue that into next year's Madden? I mean, if you're that engrossed in your franchise, just keep playing it. There's no rule that you have to go out and buy Madden every year. Once you start year 2 you're using fictional rosters anyway.

One top of the massive programing issue that maybe there, wouldn't there be some legal ramifications if players who are no longer in the league in the next version sued? Cuz they're not in the NFLPA anymore right? I know Jim Brown Sued EA for using him and hes stone age status.

BTW ive been wishing for this for years. Im tired of starting all over.

It's possible, you will be able to do this with Mass Effect 2 once it comes out. Then again, EA owns Bioware now so who knows how well it will work!
