EA Announces Madden NFL Arcade

EA has officially announced Madden NFL Arcade, a new pick-up-and-play, 5-on-5 style football game. Planed for a December release, the title will be available for download on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store for 1200 MS Points and $14.99.
All 32 NFL teams will be playable, each with its own distinct stadium. There are also different sets of rules. Each team only gets four downs per possession to score; There are no penalties or field goals; and the first team to 30 points wins. Of course, there are customizable options that allow players to tweak the gameplay, such as points to win and skill levels.
The game also features 4-player co-op on one console, online head-to-head, leaderboards, and support for achievements and trophies.
"When you look around the office and see your whole team playing and having tons of fun with it, you know the game hit the right mark," said marketing director Nathan Stewart. "We have diehard Madden fans who have worked on the franchise for a decade, and more casual gamers who are all playing together and enjoying it.
