Losing My Running Back In 3rd Quarter Online and Offline - Help Please

When I play my franchise games, with Chris Johnson, usually around the end of the 3rd or start of the 4th quarter he is just gone, and Reggie Bush is subbed in. Once this happens, Johnson doesn't show up anywhere on the sub menu. He is in the depth charts, but can't be put back in the game.

It also happened to me tonight with the Vikings online. I ran Peterson 14 times, and then with 2 mins. left in the 3rd, he was gone and I was stuck with Chester Taylor.

I haven't changed any of the substitution sliders. How can I stop this from happening?

Lower the sub in setting for RB's

^^ That wont help.. the depth chart actually glitches somehow, and guys are removed.. happens to me ALOT with the raiders.. McFadden will disappear, Asomugha etc... very odd.
Mostly this occurs after a "restarted" game.. ie after the initial game(exhibition, pvp), you dont exit to menu, just hit restart game, and guys will be missing after a series.

I created a defensive end, and put him in as starter on the depth chart. He is never on the field though. I go into the depth chart, and there he is. Back to the game, and I have the back up always there. He isn't hurt and the game hasn't even started, so he isn't tired. I have played several games and he never shows up. Imaginary virtual holdout?

I do notice that it happens when I run the ball, almost like at one point I've used him too much or something. It usually happens when I'm leading too, but it isn't a mass sub thing the QB is still in there.

Is there anyone that plays online that runs alot and can use RB1 the whole game?

Just want to know if it is something in my settings.

I used to notice this when I had the 360 version. Players would disappear after being fatigued a certain amount and there was no way to get them back. I remember games where i'd be down to running backs at WR because all my WR's had been subbed out. And others where i'd have fullbacks at TE for the same reason. Annoyed the heck out of me. The only time I noticed it happening though is if I abused the "Restart Game" option. I don't know if that's what you've been doing, but that could be it.

I think that "Restart Game" thing is broken. It allows injured players to play, and it screws with fatigue on occasion.

And no, I haven't noticed the problem since switching to PS3, but that might have something to do with Patch 1.

What is the restart game option? Just restarting in the middle of a game? I had this happen online last night too though, so I'm not sure if that would be it. Really frustrating losing AP in an online ranked game in the 3rd quarter!

I was in an Offline frame of mind. Offline, you can restart the game at any time.
