Do Coach Rating Ever Change?

I am using the Browns and Eric Mangini starts with -1 AWR on All Players.

Rob Ryan (my DC) give something like -5 to players in something.

Does anyone know if a coach's ratings/influence will change from season to season?

I am one game from making the playoffs with the Browns and I kinda feel like if I can string together a good couple of seasons, my coaches deserve to get a bump up in their influence/ratings.

well, I'm not sure if it truly works but at the end of the season and advance to the off season, one of the things that the game does is labeled "progressing coaches". I assume that to mean that it is changing their ratings...

Coaches' OVR rating can change (yea, coaches have OVR ratings, even though we can't see anything that goes into those ratings), but I've noticed that those change even mid-season with a good win streak. I hired Clarence Shelmon as my Head Coach, he was rated a 65 OVR, in week 4 my team is 3-0 and he is an 88 OVR.

As for the coach's bonuses that apply to players, I don't believe those can change, or at least I've never seen it happen.

They change depending on how well you play, if you have a coach who has say 46 rating and win all your games in the season up until Pro Bowl he will be 100 rating.

Coaches also have an effect on players ratings....If you check player ratings and u have a player with minus 5/plus 5 for some attributes then that is the coaches effect on the player. The other coaches for your team will also effect players, not just the head coach, O co-ord, D co-ord, special teams, they all effect ur players, so in the off season look for coaches that have plus attributes towards ur players, trust me it really makes a difference.

Those +/- attributes NEVER change. Only the coaches OVR changes. It's stupid. It means we all recycle the same coaches ever and forever. Really dumb. Thats Asshat E.A.

I'm pretty sure the bonuses are set in stone.

As for OVR, I'm not 100% sure, but I think you gain or lose OVR based on your winning or losing streak.

Example: Coachy McCoachalot is a 50 OVR. Here's what would happen over an 8 week period:

1. W - 51 (+1)
2. W - 53 (+2)
3. L - 52 (-1)
4. L - 50 (-2)
5. L - 47 (-3)
6. L - 43 (-4)
7. L - 38 (-5)
8. W - 39 (+1)

Like I said, I'm not completely sure, but I think that's how it works.

It might be more for CPU hiring/firing thresholds/salaries than impact on gameplay.
