3 1st rounders seems like a high price for a center. Especially when you consider that not many centers are even drafted in the 1st round. Seems like 3 times what you should be paying for an elite center.

I'd hold off on the decision until you can at least look at who is in the draft class.

If you get the draft class with these 2 guys in it, they are the ones I traded up for:

Also, that draft class has some nice bargain values on the defensive side of the ball in the mid-late rounds. 2 more guys I came away with were:

This was the 1st draft class I had in my franchise and it set me up very well.

Re: 3 1st round picks: What to do with them?

Simmed ahead to see what I would get and the picks would cost me a fortune being top 6 picks.

I did go with the Nick Mangold trade, might cost alot in the game and in reality but the truth is, I can't afford to have the 1st round picks on my roster, and even if I did draft players, the chances of them being a starter from the get go is slim to none and I would like instant impact from a 1st round pick.

In the last draft, I had the 4th pick in the draft, traded out of the 1st round and picked up Jalyun Foster in the 2nd round, saved me a ton of money and I also got Earl Whitaker in the draft in the 2nd round and both are starters now as Justin Smith is now rated an 84 this season while Jalyun Foster is rated 85.

The problem with the 1st round picks isn't just the money but them playing enough to live upto that contract and if they are not starters, they won't deserve the money their on.

And anyway, I might get a draft that has

in it and they would easly sort out any issues with my SS . But as I said, there aren't alot of roster spots open that a 1st rounder could just step into and therefore, I don't want to waste picks on players that will cost an arm and a leg that won't start for me and while giving up three 1st round picks for Mangold is alot, it's the best option for a Mike Singletary coached team.

I'm half set at CB because I've got Nate Clements there along with Donel Williams and Julian Craft, and the only position that looks weak is SS with Marcus Wyns there along with Tercel Alaeze.

I could trade two of the 1st round picks and get four 2nd round picks back and trade my other 1st round pick for Brandon Meriweather or Chris Hope and get a 3rd round pick back in that trade but Meriweather is in the final year of his contract and Chris Hope is 30, he's not really good enough to get at his age.

But if I got Meriweather, would Marcus Wyns and Tercil Alaeze progress as they should do if they are not starting?
If you are set at those positions then I would say you don't even need 1 first round pick for a couple of reasons. 1st you will need the money to resign or keep all those players and 2nd I don't think an average SS will hurt your team. I don't know the contract situation or the age of the players currently on your team but I would highly recommend traded them away for some 2nd and 3rd round picks. I would rather have 10 picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th round than 3 first round picks and whatever else you have.

Just my opinion

trade 1 pick for a player you want, trade another for a 2nd round pick and a player, keep the last pick and fill a need.
