Great trade for you seeing as a 97 DLineman doesn't seem any better than a 60 to me.

Thats a good trade. I had to give Shawn Merriman, Roddy White and my 1st to get Ed Reed in the first year of my fantasy offline franchise. So if you did it for one player more power to you.

definitely not true, i traded for Shaun Rogers in my buc's franchise and he is an absolute beast compared to the 70 Ovr NT i was using prior to him.

the sliders your using aren't doing your players justice.

I would say it was a bad trade because i think ed reed is like 33/

Bad trade in my opinion. The Vikings strength is that they can run the ball and they can shut down the run. Kevin Williams is an absolute god in this game. He single-handedly won me one of my games in my online franchise, and an excellent DT really screws up the running game in Madden. You could have traded for Jairus Byrd and gotten pretty much the same thing out of him as you do with Ed Reed. Both are ballhawks.

I like the trade, Reed is only 30 and will give you at least 4 good seasons.

i think it depends how you play. to me, i have to guys in the 70's at DT and they get penetration just fine. they're not 'aware' and some of those ratings are down, but the power and power moves ratings are pretty good, so they bust through. that said, the FS position doesn't get much action from the way i play. i always keep one FS back, bring the SS in either to bump the TE or gaurd against the run. with the pressure i get from orakpo and an occasion lb blitz, the ball comes out pretty quick so either the corner makes the tackle or an lb in zone does. if it's beyond those guys, then my fs will get them. but the majority of plays don't get to that point. not vast majority, but..

just as an example, my SS had 4 picks last season and was second on the team in tackles. landry, my FS, had 1 pick and though he's one of the highest rated players on my team, had a very low tackle number. in the 20's i think. for the whole season.

i give the trade a 9. DT doesn't mean too much to me (as if played with and traded big albert), and it's always good to have a security blanket at safety.
