Tempted To Turn Cap Off?

Considering next year may be an uncapped year in the NFL, are you tempted to turn cap off in your franchise?

Not really.

I know i'd find myself offering 200 mil to each of the top 30 FA's or something.

No, because the game doesn't implement the "final 4" restrictions on signing FAs. So it would just be a too-easy talent grab.

Yes, I have turned off the cap limit and would even if the cap limit wasn't going to be restricted. You still have to limit yourself and not just have a ridiculously deep roster and take all of the good players in the FAW. It has worked out fine for me and the other teams as well. I have seen teams that spend more than me, less than me, but everyone would be over cap.

Re: Tempted To Turn Cap Off?

yeh ive done it. I went to it after playing a 7 year franchise only to see the CPU start dropping there best players left and right. You have to control yourself to make it fair. I am now doing one where im controlling all 32 teams so i can have the best of both worlds, cap restrictions and ill keep the cpu from letting there whole team go.

Re: Tempted To Turn Cap Off?

Im 6 years in and almost everyteam is in cap trouble. I spent so much time just fixing their rosters. I control every team but I let the CPU handle everything. I considered turning off the cap but I didn't.

Re: Tempted To Turn Cap Off?

uncharted has kept me away from starting a franchise but why on earth would you turn off the salary cap? that's part of the fun of franchise mode right? managing your teams budget? What's the point in policing yourself after you killed the sherrif?

Re: Tempted To Turn Cap Off?

Because after a few years and the insane amounts of money free agents ask for all the other teams drop their star players
