Re: controlling 32 teams in franchise

I do not know if anyone else has noticed this but during the draft (when controlling all teams) if you press Y or whatever you press to "trade this pick" sometimes the CPU will offer trades for other teams. Like for example I am controlling all teams, I am currently playing with the bucs. Lets say that the Bears are on the board with the 9th pick I hit Y to trade the pick and the dolphins are offering their 15th overall and their second round pick. Its pretty cool. I found this by trading my pick once, I hit Y and there was an offer. I was like "did I do something"? So I always check the trade option before every team picks. It doesnt happen all the time and it seems to only happen in the first round. Try it out.

Thanks for the insight! I will be sure to try it out during my franchise. Also the person that said about signing draft picks is 100% correct. Too many rookies are signed for 1 year deals. I'd sign most the 1st rounders to 5 year deals, 2nd and 3rd rounders to 4, 4th, 5th, and 6th to 3, and 7th to 2. Also I try to re-sign players for each team. For example, I hate it when the best player is only 80 overall. So I make it so some 90+ guys don't sign.

Re: controlling 32 teams in franchise

I think I am going to have to start to sign all the teams players. Recently there was a Team who let their 1st round future of the franchise QB go.
