Re: Retiring players

Like in real life nfl. Just start looking for yound players when they start getting into their 9th and 10th year. that should be the best option.

Re: Retiring players

I like the option back in NFL2k5 to try to get a player to come back for one more year after he hangs it up. It was a nice touch. Madden 11?

You know you can purchase the accelerater to keep players from retiring.I do that so I can have time to find a replacement for that player wanting to retire.
In the thread you linked, I think the thread starter (I didn't go on to read the rest of the thread) was talking about the undrafted rookies who want to be paid like superstars. That part of the game is a little broke. These are guys that are unemployed and are still looking to latch on to an NFL team. They should be looking to take 1 year deals for the minimum.

Re: Retiring players

I know that.Isn't that like real life though? Look at M.Stafford's contract.

And b4 any1 says (well the other teams signed them for less money than I offered) Well how many times have you seen coaches or owners worry about other teams in the NFL??

Not talking about Stafford there, talking about the Bruce Johnsons of the world.

I like that QBs taken #1 overall are asking for record contracts, because in real life every QB taken 1st overall gets a record deal.

Definitely adds a very real level of team management strategy to Franchise which has been missing from pretty much every football game ever. I had to drop (not trade) some really good players because I couldn't afford them, and then make several trades of good players for lower calibur players with lower salary caps so I had room to sign my drafts. I think this is the best feature of Madden 10 now, followed closely by ProTak.
