Regular online games are ruined by cheesers, but how about filling your Friends list up with a bunch of guys who play realistic football. I've got a lot of guys on my list I enjoy playing football with and it really extends the life of the game.

The only reason Madden gets played so long is because it's the only NFL licensed (albeit craptastic) game.

At least the only one that's up to date.

I would say something Madden does better than any other game is consistently be broken because of simple **** that could and should have been done a long time ago.

Another potential reason is that the game consistantly is a failure out-of-the-box and you have to spend 3 months tweaking sliders, only to have a patch to screw up those sliders, spend another month adjusting sliders, and then waiting 2 months for a patch to "fix" things that remained broken and things the first patch broke... oh... and then spend another month adjusting sliders.

FIFA has much better replayability than Madden.. FIFA has as many leagues as Madden has teams, not to mention better gameplay and commentary.

IMO, the only thing Madden is good at is multiplayer, and even that is ruined by glitchers & cheesers.

I gotta agree with everybody that said another game has more replayability than Madden. Like someone else said, if this was back in the PS2 days I would agree 100%, but nowadays, not a chance. I remember in the PS2 days I would actually play it until the next one came out, but on next gen, I haven't had the copy for the entire NFL season yet. Hell, I didn't even make it passed the first month this year.

Cmon now, I play ps2 madden 10 more than I even think about next gen madden. Besides, everyone knows 2k5 and APF are games you can play for YEARS.
