IMHO, Madden 09 for ps2 is far superior to 10 on ps2.

Cons of 10-

camera shake is annoying (and can't be turned off)
stadium shakes during a big hit, making it feel like the old nfl blitz
ratings are a complete mess, as are the rosters

Pros- it's the new game

09-
I think the "feel" is better and more fluid
Rosters are solid, and you can probably find some updated for this season
it's alot cheaper, if money is an issue

I just like 09 better, even though I play ps3 now. But I played 09 for a year straight on ps2, and bought 10 on release night, and went back to 09 till I got the ps3.

As one of the last holdouts / diehards of the PS2 era of Madden I have to say that the boatload of $$$ I dropped on a HDTV, a PS3 and the PS3 version of Madden is some of the best money I've EVER spent.

I tried Madden 10 again, on PS2 and the gameplay and presentation just finally got TOO repetative and predictable for me.

I'm having a blast with the PS3 version.

It still needs slider adjustments and slight coach philospophy tweaks, and it's NOT perfect.

But I have not had this much 'fun' playing franchise(s) since Manifesto '05.

I perfer madden 10 on the ps2. I will admit the carera shaking does get old, and the rosters are a mess. But since I've been using the rosters by gotmodenu from this site, the game play is far better. The way the old style plays is much more enjoyable to me than the ps3. I know many people feel different about this, but the best way is to try both out, try them out by actually playing the game.

I had Madden 09 for ps2 and this year I went with the next gen Madden 10 I love it the ps2 versions just started to feel old to me.

Im in the same boat. I have been a huge fan of Madden on the PS2 and just recently made the switch to the next-gen games. I think that Madden 10 on the PS3 is probably the best Madden game Ive ever played.

Those are strong words right there. Doesn't next-gen Madden leave out franchise features like training camp and such? Plus I've been hearing some strong gameplay issues against screen passes and pursuit angles. Any comments?
