Really Slack from EA. Im just wanting to know if you have to start your Chise again if you get the patch. When we find out ill be ok. I got 2k5 until then

the official word is EA finished the patch a while back like 2or3 weeks ago to microsoft and the release is just waiting on microsoft certification. same for playstation

Anyway, Tekken 6 is getting an update today so it's not completely impossible for it to be released on Thanksgiving (but highly unlikely considering they haven't given us a list of the updates yet).

probably blocked you because it's completely out of his hands at this point. ian is not the boss boss. he still answers to people. he has to submit things, have them approved etc. that goes for the patch and the update.

just relax. the patch is coming. be patient.

I think the whole issue is caused by a comment by the Madden team and Peter Moore a couple of month back.
They said that the goal is to extend the life of Madden 10 beyond the first 2 month and to avoid that used copies are flooding the market.
Besides the first two month Thanksgiving and Xmas are crucial for sales. We know that the 2nd DLC will be released in January, but EA needed a strategy for the time between the release of the first patch and Xmas:

So the first patch & DLC were released end of September.
At the same time someone from the Madden team mentioned that he's tuning franchise stats for the 2nd patch and that his deadline is end of September.
Because of that everybody thought that the patch will be released mid of October.

Well on 16th of October the "2nd title update preliminary details" blog was released which was also the last time that EA officially communicated with us.

On 3rd of November Ian tweeted (as a response on a question regarding the patch released date) "I still don't have any status on the release date of the 2nd title update yet. You guys know the drill..they're unpredictable".
"They're" was interpreted by many as Sony & MS, and that the patch was therefore only 2 weeks away.

Last week Ian tweeted "I have been informed that the 2nd Madden 10 title update is officially in final 3rd party approvals. (i know ...finally!)".
Again he avoids to say that it's in Sony and MS certification, but uses "3rd party" instead. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-party_developer

So every two weeks we get a sign of life message just to keep us happy and keep us from selling our Madden copies.
