Re: Important Ratings for Players

This is a great topic, but one we have not heard much from the developers about. It is unclear exactly how the different ratings work, and what some even mean (or how they impact the gameplay, if at all). I am just not sure the ratings mean anything at all. I would love to hear more detail on the importance of different ratings for the different positions.

Re: Important Ratings for Players

Front 7 on D = block shedding

Qb's = all pass qualities (PA, throw on the run, Accuracy, THP)

RB's = Physical attributes, just use what he's got.

Re: Important Ratings for Players

DE:
SPD, ACC, BSH, PMV/FMV (either one, but prefer both being high)
CB: SPD, AWR, CTH, ZCV/MCV (either one, just want one high and all the CBs to match so they can fit under the same coverage scheme)
SS/FS: SPD, AWR, PRC, CTH, ZCV (MCV is nice, but I usually don't put them in man coverage.)
ILB: ACC, AWR, TAK, BSH, ZCV
OLB: SPD, ACC, ZCV, BSH, PMV/FMV (either one, useful when blitzing and they aren't a free runner)
DT: BSH, AWR, FMV/PMV (either, but best if both are high)

Basically, I like speed on the edges and secondary. Ability to handle mid zones coverage, gap penetration, and tackling on the interior.

I like to blitz so speed is even more important. Basically, I run a zone blitz/"aggressive" cover 2 type scheme if at all possible. Though I'll do man blitz with deep safeties as well.

Interesting. On CBs, you do not consider ACC or AGI important ratings? If you run a cover 2, I can understand, but if you like to use a S to blitz, don't you need more ability to stay with a WR one on one?
