A play to stop "Wildcat" cheesers online...

Field Goal Block. I did it by accident and my opponent barely grabbed 2 yards per play. It forced him to go to his next cheese play of the screen which I couldn't figure out how to defend except for qb contain but when I started stopping that he chose the all streak shotgun play with the TE running a post route and he hit the post everytime. Anyone else have solutions for the screen or all streak post?

stop screen = spread line and crash line out. DE will make play everytime.

stop post = run man defense

In Madden 07 I used the Feild Goal Block for every goal line oppertunity on defense and it always worked.

Hows Field Goal block against Wildcat passes? I faced Vikings last night and he used Wildcat on every down. I was able to stop him with an outside run play from 46 but he got me when he passed the ball. when I switched to QB Contain I was able to stop the Widcat against the run and pass until my power went out.

Did you post in the wrong thread by accident?

You can't audible out of wildcat formation, so even if the dude tries to pass out - provided you're using like FG safe or something you'll still have a dude in coverage.

Because you can't scramble for some reason when you're passing it's easy to just get sacks.

Anything out of 3-4 Predator > Wildcat for me... although I do make certain adjustments to all my plays...
