I think a lot of people are just assuming this is EA's fault for the patch...is it possible that it's Microsoft and Sony that is causing the huge hold up on the release of the patch? They did say they sent it to 3rd party like 2 weeks ago. Just a thought, some people can take it easy on the EA staff.

This is about the companies, not the patch. I didn't say anything regarding the release of the patch, just that people are too hard on EA. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Is the patch going to come any quicker if it's either party's fault? I don't really see the big deal in this.

Yikes, it's hard to reply to this thread without discussing "the patch".

As far as I remember, there was also long delay before the patch was submitted to Sony/MS.

What I want to know is why only Madden 10 is subject to this "mystery time" that Sony and Microsoft hold on to it before releasing it?

The Fight Night Round 4 patch date was announced long ago, and Sony/Microsoft seemed to have passed the drop release date information (even mentioning each system) onto the FNR4 guys just fine. http://blog.fightnight.easports.com/

Ian mentioned several weeks ago that hiccups were discovered with the patch.
