Give me some advice on a possible Online Franchise trade

I don't know if this should be in the online section or not but anyways.....

I'm in a really good, sim online franchise. I have a fantasy drafted Giants team. I've made a couple blockbuster deals already and this is the team I currently have:

Offense

QB - Jay Cutler
RB - Frank Gore/Michael Bush/Ricky Williams
FB - Dan Kreider
WR - Larry Fitzgerald/Justin Gage/Earl Bennett
TE - Jeremy Shockey/Fred Davis
LT - Khalif Barnes
LG - Chris Naeole
C - John Wade
RG - Jacob Bell
RT - Phil Loadholt

Defense (4-3)

DE - Brett Keisel/Glenn Dorsey
DT - Tommy Kelly/Grady Jackson
OLB - Danny Clark/Keith Ellison
MLB - London Fletcher
CB - Terrence Newman/Leodis McKelvin/Nick Harper
FS - Ed Reed
SS - Chris Horton

This is the trade I'm looking at right now. At the moment I'm thinking no, but it does have me thinking and I need some thoughts.

Cutler, Jay QB 88 27 6-3 233 Vanderbilt

For

Young, Vince QB 71 27 6-5 233 Texas
Winfield, Antoine CB 89 33 5-9 180 Ohio State
Dawkins, Brian FS 88 37 6-0 210 Clemson
Surtain, Patrick CB 76 34 5-11 192 Southern Miss

OR

Cutler, Jay QB 88 27 6-3 233 Vanderbilt
Fletcher, London MLB 89 35 5-10 245 John Carroll
Newman, Terence CB 88 32 5-11 190 Kansas State

for

Polamalu, Troy SS 99 29 5-10 207 USC
Young, Vince QB 71 27 6-5 233 Texas
Surtain, Patrick CB 76 34 5-11 192 Southern Miss

Should I do one of these deals?

If either one of those deals go through, it's not a sim league...

Lol. Trust me it is. Every guy I've played so far has played 100% sim. We have sim rules and everything to make sure there is no cheesing/cheating/exploiting or whatever.

Having a sim league doesn't just end on the field though, it's gotta be sim through and through to be considered a "sim league"....

Re: Give me some advice on a possible Online Franchise trade

The only thing that makes me not want to pull the trigger on this is that in the first deal, all of those defensive players I'm getting are past their prime.

In the second deal, I would be losing London Fletcher, who has been a beast for me and my LB corp would be one of the worst in the league. But having the two best safeties in the game would be ridiculous.

Re: Give me some advice on a possible Online Franchise trade

I think I like the 2nd deal better given the following conditions:

- Are you really ok with Young as your starting QB. The 71 rated Young, not the real life Young that has been tearing it up the past few weeks.

- Do you have an adequate MLB to step up as the starter when you trade Fletcher?

Safety play seems to be where your bread is buttered in the secondary in this year's madden and getting the combination of Reed and Polamalu will more than make up for the loss of Newman. McKelvin progresses nicely and will be a #1 type corner after a year or two.
