That's just me. If I care about stats I'd play a text based football game.
That's a good point. If I was 20 yrs younger(marriage and 3 kids), I might give a care to the stats like others do, but I'm finding it more difficult with trying to squeeze in a season before the next sport or game comes out.

I'm finding myself more and more a game play person.

Did the Human Breakaway running glitch get fixed? IE when you have wide open field, your runner glitches and slows down, even stopping and going backwards for a split second?

Exactly. But I think most of those "gamers" could care less either. It's just the "In" thing now to tear things apart to post "issues".

it's what the cool kids do now....

To me, any gameplay improvements are minor, or just placebo effect. I honestly don't care about the non game play, stat corrections. So if there was a 3rd option that said doesn't matter either way I would have chose that one. I didn't like the game pre-patch, and now I'm officially retiring madden and moving on.

Re: Poll... Is patch 2 worth downloading?

Yes, the game is much smoother and balanced. Pro Tak appears to be better implemented. There are just enough big plays to make the game exciting. Playing as the Giants I lost to the Cowboys 21-17. Marion barber had 137 yards on 15 carries including a 71 yard run. Brandon Jacobs had 19 yards on 90 carries. Passing is easier and allows for the use of a variety of plays and routes. I played on All-Pro with default sliders. The game is just plain fun now. Sacks appear to be still to hard to come by but it could be the team I was playing. The teams appear to [play differently and inferior teams are easier to beat if you have a good team.

I found that too.
CPU QBs can still have as much as 10 seconds to throw the ball.

If I can figure out how to get sacks against the CPU then this will truly be an very good Madden and a very good football game.

Madden 10 = Good
MLB The Show 09= excellent
NBA 2K10= excellent
Fight Night Round 4 = Very good
UFC 2009 Undisputed = Good
NCAA Football 10= not good

75% say yes.
I agree, it does take some slider adjustments but the game is improved post-patch 2. Thanks EA.
