Is there even a point to manual leading your receiver? It seems everytime I manually lead my receiver it's a poor pass.

Until we can throw anywhere on the field and not just "Hit X for X Wr" you're going to get that.
You'd think by now we could have a form of that since Fevers Read and Lead.

Anyways I'm not saying that's the only way we'll see what you and many others want. Just saying if EA could do it with current passing system we would have seen it by now.

The vast majority of incomplete passes I get are either drops (INTs or catches) or deflections.

Hardly any are just off-the-mark passes.

Re: Now I understand that QB's throw bad passes.....

I played exclusively with Russel for 70-100 games, and I watch him regularly being a Raider fan.

They have him just right, I'm sorry to say.

I learned that you cannot zip a ball with him and expect any reliable accuracy. If you watched their televised games from earlier this season when he was starting, that's exactly what you saw--he had tremendous arm strength but missed wide open passes with no pressure irl in exactly the way you're describing.

Maybe it's just the guy you chose to make an example of, but imo they nailed Russell. He's probably the worst QB I've played with in the game.

Bad passes always seem to be HORRIBLY bad. Instead of hitting the receivers feet or going over his head them seem on average about 10-15 yards off the receiver. Only JaMarcus Russel seems that bad.

When i use Romo i usually throw between 65 and 80% comp. I tried using Vince Young and my accuracy fell way off. Went down to 50-65%. It was very noticable how important accuracy for QB's.

I like that QBs have accuracy issue in this game, I just wish they'd do away with the stupid auto lead mechanic.

You never feel like you can throw the ball to a spot with this game; it's more like you are throwing to a receiver and the game randomly picks the spot for you.

Re: Now I understand that QB's throw bad passes.....

There needs to be more underthrown balls on all routes. We need more passes that one-hop the receiver or the receiver has to stop their route and fall to the ground to try to catch. That happens a LOT in the NFL.
