Bing.com Ads?

Why am I just now seeing Bing.com ads on about 90% of my plays in the bottom right of my screen before the snap?

I'm fine with having background ads and stuff in the game, but this is seriously out of line. I pay $60 for the game and have to pay $40 a year for Xbox Live and I still have ads pushed down my throat before every snap?

Re: Bing.com Ads?

You must be playing on XBOX because bing.com is owned by microsoft. If you were microsoft wouldn't you be advertising your own products whenever you can?

Microsoft wants you to use their product. You know how they were saying "if you see it on Sundays, you will see it in the game", well there are annoying ads all the time on Sundays (and Mondays, and Thursdays). They are striving for realism, I guess.

Re: Bing.com Ads?

It goes away if I disconnect from the $50 a year service of Xbox Live. I have been getting really annoyed with Xbox and this may finally push me towards a PS3.

Its 2009. this is life in 2009. The advertising is only going to get more intrusive in the future, not less, so you might as well get used to it.

Re: Bing.com Ads?

The ad's are not limited to Microsoft and its not limited to the Xbox 360.

The ad's are on PS3 and have been used to advertise KFC and "Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia" among other things.

The above poster is correct, if you disconnect from XBL you are not shown them.

As far as realism goes, I would have liked to see the gameplay make strides before this.

Perhaps removing the EA logo and some blank space from the highly static bottomline? Personally I would rather constantly see the same ad being displayed the whole game on the bottomline, than this pop up system, it would make it much less of an "annoyance".

I dont know of any other game that in cooperates forced advertisements (you cant turn them off) in a product you pay for in a feature that is not "free". If this was placed in the Madden Card feature, I would be fine with it but not in my regular games.
