One thing I haven't post but will when I have time it Team Yards per game compared with NFL Team Yards per game.

Also, compare passing yards per game and running yards per game to the NFL.

I did this exact thing. I used the stats from nfl.com and some may be surprised, but 10qbs are on pace to get 4,000passing yards.
They must avg. at least 250yds per game to do so.

Only 2 teams in the nfl have run more than pass so far in the 09 season.
So by making these adjustments to my coaching sliders, its also reduced the amount of running backs w/ 2,000+ yds rushing per simmed season.

The run/pass sliders(both on offense and defense) seem to have the biggest affect on simmed stats and gameplay. I belive aggression is used mainly in gameplay, not really affecting simmed stats.

This may help you guys get ahead of the curve some here.
Btw, looks like we will have to deal w/ the higher ypc and sacks totals by certain players now.

Rushing Yards per game:

Madden tops around 175 per game
NFL top around 170 per game

This leads me to believe that the yards per carry problem is simply that they aren't getting enough carries because to many longer runs.

Passing Yards per game:

Madden tops around 285 per game
NFL tops around 300 per game

Passing seems to be pretty accurate. Maybe a little lower due to the rushing yards being so high because of the higher average from the running backs.

I am guessing if Looman can get the running back averages lower the rushing and Passing stats would be pretty good.

That should lower the rushing yardage and slightly increase the passing.

Teams Sack Totals:

Madden's are from my Third Simmed season

Madden's Leaders / 08 NFL's Leaders
69 / 59
64 / 51
62 / 48
61 / 45
60 / 44
60 / 42
58 / 41
58 / 40
57 / 37
57 / 35
57 / 34
56 / 34

Obviously, the reason that player's sack are SOO high is because the teams as a whole are getting way to many sacks.

That is 17.5 sacks more per team per year. That is 41% average increase over the NFL for the 12 teams I checked.

Yeah, I've tested all Defenses at 40 on run/pass and it really reduced the amount of ints teams got and still saw too many sacks.
You gotta look out for that while testing, what else changes by trying to get one thing corrected..
So like I've posted on the sliders section, I am focusing more on gameplay now.
I've spent 2 days messing w/ coaching sliders and i've got them about as good as its gonna get imo.
