this is an Ad for an EA game, so it isn't even a direct $$ thing from an outside advertiser (of course it is backend sales obviously). They have control of what avenue it is shown.

the whole thing is, it' very irritating regardless, but WHY WHY WHY does it have to be on every single play? it is going to irritate 100% of the people playing this game.

Why are you guys crying over this they are little ads whenever I get them I don't even pay attention to them.

Well, I don't know why they just started showing up for you. I've become accustomed to it.

I guess you didn't play 09? 09 had the ads as well, but not as much complaints.

I think I may have an answer...

From what I have noticed, the ads only appear on certain days (someone mentioned Thurs, Fri, and Sat in another thread, but that may not be accurate). Now lets say you only play on Monday's or Sunday's... then you will have never seen these until now. Just a theory, but this could be why we are seeing so many NEW threads on this topic. Could be a case of people being not in Madden at the correct day and time, but then suddenly they're on at the right time and they get the ad for hours at a time. I know I have went 2-3 games without seeing them (the result of being a whole day without seeing them), and then having them in every game I play for a whole day.

There were popup Ads in 09? I only played a few games (literally, less than 10), but never saw a popup Ad like the kind I'm seeing in Madden 10.

Oh, absolutely, that's the first year I saw them. KFC and political ads were all over the place like they are now.

That's why I'm surprised it's a compliant now, but not last year.

I need to attribute to it that people skipped 09 and went directly to 10.
