Some Off-line Franchise Q's
I like to play as close as I can to a coach mode, where I only call plays. It seems that there are some obvious ways that I cannot do that: the kicking game and QB runs most prominent. So, ok, I have to do the kicking game, and when my QB is standing on their 2 yard line with no defensive player within 5 yards, I have to take over to get the easy TD. Other than that, I just use pocket QBs.
But:
Is there a way to fair catch? Let the ball go when punts are inside the 5? Take a knee on deep kickoffs?
When I try to block a punt, I am pretty much guaranteed to give up a fumble because my punt returner cannot call a fair catch. It's sick.
There may be other points of compensation people know of. If so, let me know them, please!
