Did the NCAA devs pay for patch 3?

I read somewhere they did. If that's the case, I really think Ian and company should do so as well. They got this game so hyped up with so much glitches and bugs yet again. The game plays nicely, but stat wise, it's not there.

What do you guys think? It's the least they can do to keep us fans happy for next year's Madden. Otherwise, next year, i'm not going to get it right off the bat. It would have to be on some ground breaking gaming in order for me to get 11. Just saying.

I don't think they should be obligated to pay for this kind of stuff themselves. I don't know how much they make, but they've got bills like the rest of us.

If I were one of them i'd work my *** off if EA is paying for it, but i'm not sticking any of my hard earned money into the game. It's essentially like taking a paycut for more work.

Yeah, but the NCAA guys knew the game was broken and apparently the rules are only 2 patches will be distributed, anything else would have to come out of the devs pockets which they did.

That right there shows how much they want to satisfy the customers.

Nice idea but it would never happen. I believe that the stats issue simply can't be fixed on this engine. Otherwise I believe it would have. Enough customers voiced their displeasure and disgust with the warped and broken stats. I believe they did the best they could but it's something that can't be fixed at this point. Although I am a bit clueless as to why the tackle stat wasn't fixed... Seems that one would have been easy. Oh, well.

For me, the stats issue is an absolute game killer. I like the game but I love playing a franchise and the stats issue prevents me from doing that. Petty? No, it's just the way that I like my games... to somewhat reflect real life.

So, next year I will hope that Madden has realistic stats. I'll wait to purchase the game because that's just the smart thing to do. If the stats issue hasn't been fixed, I'll stick with NCAA. I can honestly do without Madden if it means that I'll save myself some cash by not buying a game that I can't enjoy.

Re: Did the NCAA devs pay for patch 3?

thats what pisses me off the most tho. this is their bread winner title, but yet ncaa gets 3 patches and we get the shaft. EA devs know these stats are "broken" and they sent it out the door and said deal with it. i seriously doubt that they will ante up and pay for a 3rd patch to address stats or whatever. they wont even take the time to do anything with OFranch and thats "free".

its all good tho, im enjoying madden 10 enuf as is even with the goofy stats. i now have a current nfl title. this will ride me out for next year as well since im having fun with the 3 franchises im doing.

if nothing groundbreaking is released on madden 11, im passing on it just like i did on ncaa this yr and madden last yr. im tired of buying it every yr and feeling it wasnt worth it and supporting mediocrity. now that i barely do the online thing in sports games anymore, i def dont have to have the most current iteration to play. and theres just too many other worthwhile titles that will come out and actually be polished and complete games.

i guess heres to hoping for a patch 3?!?! not holding my breath tho

Not at this point in time.

I want them to start focusing on Madden 11 instead trying to get the perfect game for Madden 10 for some people.

All for just a few stats to balance? I'm not happy about the stats, either, but it's something I can live with for now.

Yeah... gameplay is much more important. Having a few stats that are off is not the end of the world.
