Re: Giving Back
People simply express their opinions/views, and whether right or wrong, EA Sports has earned their reputation over the years whether you view them in a good or bad light (people tend to fall pretty hard one way or the other). From a corporate standpoint, my view remains negative of the corporation due to varying factors (buying licenses, and then killing games/product, NFL Exclusivity, NFLPA fiasco, Peter Moore at helm, and the like). I'm sure the company invests money into worthwhile endeavors though, such as the one in the article you listed, nearly all large companies do in order to earn good will in the community and for tax write off purposes.
Games for the disabled is an interesting concept. I had a friend a couple years back looking for games for a relative who only had the use of one hand. The best I could do was come up with some games on the Wii that only required the use of one of the controllers.
With all of the new input devices on the market (and being created) and the multitude of casual gamers that have been brought to the proverbial fountain of gaming, there's going to be a slew of games that are going to be available to gamers that in years past would have been unplayable. Definitely a positive in every nearly every possible way.
Thumbs up on the find. Always nice to read about someone doing something good.
