First Offseason in Dolphins Franchise

I just completed my first offseason in my Dolphins franchise and here is how it went...

Free Agents
- All of the players I signed are players that will fit my team and offer me different looks in different packages.

WR- Brad Smith (69 OVR) 3 years, $3 million
Another option for the Wildcat.

TE- Bubba Franks (71 OVR) 1 year, $1 million
Signed to be a 3rd string TE with above average run blocking.

LOLB- Elvis Dumervil (67 OVR) 4 years, $5 million
Pure pass rusher off the edge in the 3-4.

ROLB- Antwan Barnes (70 OVR) 5 years, $6 million

Another pass rushing option off the edge.

CB- Marlin Jackson (83 OVR) 1 year, $7 million
Will sit in zone coverage in the nickel defense.

CB- Lito Sheppard (78 OVR) 1 year, $6 million

Will sit in dime coverage in the dime defense.

K- Sebastion Janikowski (73 OVR) 1 year, $1 million
Former first round pick (oh, Raiders...) picked up for his huge leg.

Draft
- I've had this draft class before and it's one of my favorites. Really excited about the future of my team.

DT- Riko Kemp (84 OVR) - 1st round #4
Next Albert Haynesworth.

TE- Karron Cousins (81 OVR) 1st round #14

Antonio Gates like abilities, has 88 speed.

LE- Xavier Cox (82 OVR) 1st round #15
Perfect 3-4 end, 92 strength and 85 speed.

ROLB- Wendell Tarver (78 OVR) 2nd round #1
Fast OLB that can do it all. Comparable to Julian Peterson.

QB- Darius Pryor (77 OVR) 2nd round #2

88 speed and 88 trucking with a great deep ball... revolutionary.

MLB- Dexter Foley (83 OVR) 2nd round #5
Young Ray Lewis with pass rushing abilities.

WR- Jamelle Lucas (78 OVR) 3rd round #1
91 trucking as a WR... Anquan Boldin like.

LG- Trae Harris (84 OVR) 3rd round #2
Mauler in the run game, will be great lined up next to Long.

C- Travis Adams (82 OVR) 3rd round #3
Pro Bowl do it all center.

FB- J.R. Meyers (80 OVR) 4th round #1

The next Mike Alstott.

Overall I'm pretty excited about my new moves. The free agent class was a little disappointing, there weren't really any impact players. But a very solid draft that I can enjoy for season 2. I'm really looking forward to using Darius Pryor and seeing how he progresses at the end of the season. Hope you enjoyed the read!

I use default rosters.

Before my first season started I traded QB Chad Pennington (back to the Jets) and CB Will Allen (to the Texans) to get an extra 1st, two second rounders, and a 3rd. Then traded my 1st round down to I think it was the Cowboys for their 1st, 2nd, and 4th. Then at the draft I made a few more trades.

I know it's not "sim" but as long as it works under fair trades my cousin and I consider it legit. We both build our franchises the best we can and then face off after our 3rd season. Should be fun
