Re: sliders - priority?

It's been thought by many, myself included, that these sliders control what type of player the cpu will draft.
As an example.....if the priority slider is set to "scrambling" ,the cpu will try and draft a qb that's more of a scrambler...likewise,if it's set to "pocket",they'll draft more of a pocket qb.

I believe this was discussed highly during Madden 05 and the Madden manifesto...it has nothing to do with on field performance.

Re: sliders - priority?

thanks. maybe if i turn it down a bit, 3-4 teams will stop drafting DEs the size of cornerbacks.

Re: sliders - priority?

I think it means how the CPU uses the player while simming.

If you slide the slider to scrambler for QB, I'd assume he's scramble more than a pocket passer.

At least that's how I've always used it asl.

Re: sliders - priority?

On the contrary, it really does have something to do with on field performance.

Re: sliders - priority?

These sliders determine the type of players teams will try to get via draft and free agency. It also determines the value of players you try to trade them (like if for some reason the colts have center priority maxed and qb priority empty then you could essentially trade a great center for peyton manning + draft picks). The higher the priority, the more they value the position basically.

It has nothing to do with on field preformance, outside of the fact that if its set to scrambling for qbs then they will scramble more because the team will have scrambling qbs on their roster.

Although, if it is set to scrambling they might grab a good ballanced qb if the only scrambling options out there arent very good.
