Field Goal glitch...

I just started playing again after awhile (offline). I notice that the AI (at least in my game) doesn't try to kick field goals of 45 yards and longer. I am playing in franchise mode.

Anyone else experience this? Is there a slider adjustment possible to remedy this?

Just up their Field Goal Kicking Power to around 55 and they will attempt 50 and above. This is because with it at 55, they can actually reach it from 50 and above.

Thanks! That's what I thought. Do I find that in the "franchise" sliders? I could not seem to do it "in game".

As far as I can tell, there are not seperate sliders for human and CPU special teams, which should be its own thread if it is, indeed, the case. But yea, they're accessible from the main menu only, but it does apply to franchise even if you have already started.

You're right the "special teams" sliders are for human and AI.

But it seems you can't make the changes once the franchise has started.

Yes all you have to do is edit them, and save them to your profile. Then in your franchise they will occur. I know this because in the middle of my franchise I made the CPU kicking 60, and they hit a 60 yarder on me. So then I lowered it to 55, and they now kick 50 yarders occasionally, and always attempt under 50.

I have FG Power set at 52 and the CPU (Mason Crosby) attempted and made a 58 yard FG to end the half last night. I agree that you should just up the FG power and that should fix your problem.
