My trick for Xbox Franchise Stats

Everyone knows the Stats from simming in Franchise Mode has been messed up since Patch#2, so after trying all the changing of ratings, controlling all teams and setting up those sliders....basically everything, I came up with this little trick because I just was NOT liking any of those other attempts.....

Go in and clear your cache (erases updates/patches)

Load up Madden10, and say No to update (will sign you out of Live)

Start your franchise, do whatever it is you do before your start actually playing.

Then when ready to play, select Your Game....it will sim every game up to your game (with old sim engine stats from before the patch#2)

Exit your game, and Save Franchise

Sign back into Xbox live, it will again prompt you to download update.....this time say YES

Play your game, then SAVE franchise....

Then either go to dash and re-clear cache, re-load Madden10 and Do it again....or wait til next time you play !

Rinse-n-Repeat !

I would think over time you would ruin the HDD...

It won't ruin anything physically - just normal daily operations as far as a hard drive is concerned. But it seems a little annoying to have to do before each game.

Not annoying at all, it's just pushing the A button ?

Clearing Cache is just an option in the settings menu's...not some secret handshake, button sequence, and it doesnt hurt the HDD anymore than anything else you do, downloading files to it, deleting files from it...and it doesnt cause red rings of death

What was annoying, was all of the crud I did.... trying to get the old sim stats back, because what they did was 100x worse than what they were ! I hated running every team....I find it more annoying than enjoyable...and still the stats were not right, by a long shot !

SO this is my happy medium....I get the updated game play, get to run my one team, and dont have the bad stats.

to each their own...

Re: My trick for Xbox Franchise Stats

Annoying in the sense you're jumping in and out of the game, going through the loading screens etc. I have a PC background and this sort of thing (funnily enough to fix simulated stats) was used for Madden PC, but that was a matter of a few seconds using ALT-TAB etc.

But if I was as keen now as I was back then I'd probably do your method before each game too. These days I've just learned to stop caring about EA's woeful attempts at simulated statistics.

Thanks for the idea Yukon. I have been doing this and I am much happier. I also run my franchise with the patch #2 for two or three weeks and it is making the running stats near perfect YPA are a little high but rushing yards and touchdowns are great. Thanks again
