They can, through the play calling screen. The difference is that in franchise mode the moves carry over through games where as outside of franchise mode you have to reset them every game.

No I'm asking if I'm in franchise mode, not in the middle of a game, can I make these subs? Or can I only make them while in the middle of a game?

Like it was in last gen Madden? No. That's why I was a bit confused on how to do it in a manner that it would carry through from game to game in franchise mode.

I'm really hoping this is something they put back into the game though. I use to modify my formation schemes all the time to make sure I had the right personnel in.

Here's hoping.

Re: Question about the 3-4

no, you can't set up subs outside of the game. Sure wish you could but can't. However, subs made from the playcall screen in game will carry over game to game in franchise mode.

Re: Question about the 3-4

What attributes would you guys look for in a 3-4 OLB?

The front seven on my 3-4 fantasy draft franchise is just sick...

D-line: I can't recall the names off the top of my head as no one is a big name player, but they all have VERY high strength so they never give ground against the run.
ILB: Bart Scott and London Fletcher... with Derrick Johnson and a rookie I just drafted waiting to take over for Fletcher in a year or two.
OLB: Terrel Suggs and Cameron Wake (just signed)... not sure about Wake though.

In my first season I had Suggs on one side and controlled Derrick Burgess on the other. Burgess got 25 sacks.

Now, to add some realism, I'm using some sliders I found on here and not playing as D-line or OLB. The pass rush should be there with Suggs and whoever is on the other side, since the sliders seem to favor it, but I'm trying to maximize it since my secondary is less than stellar.

So, again, what type of attributes are best for a 3-4 OLB? Especially a pass rushing specialist?
Speed? Agility? Pursuit? Power and Finesse moves?

One of my OLB plays coverage and blitzes (Suggs), but the other one blitzes probably 85% of the time.

It depends, you said one OLB plays coverage and blitzes, and the othe blitza probably 85% of the time. So are you asking for attributes for a 3-4 OLB that blitzes a majority of the time, or one that will be equally being in coverage and blitzing? Because I feel the ratings would be alittle diff for both
