Free Agent Scripting?

Something I've noticed in my offline franchise. It's kind of cool, actually but I'm wondering if its real.

Here's what it is: I played 3 years of a Bills franchise pre-patch 2. Then I started over after the patch and am currently in year #2.

Certain players in free agency seem to end up on the same teams each offseason.

For example, there is a DT named Paul Solvaii who is around a 74 OVR. I tried to sign him during my first chise, but he REFUSED to come to Buffalo regardless of the $$ I offered.

I offered him 6 yrs, 42 million (hoping he had high potential and based on his attributes) but he signed with the Lions for 5 yrs, 26 million instead.

Then when I started my new franchise all over after patch #2, he was in the first free agency pool so I tried again.

Again, he REFUSED to sign with me, even when I offered 7 yrs, 100 million (just to see what would happen). He AGAIN signed with Detroit.

I have noticed this with many other players as well. They always go to a certain team the first free agency period.

Also, certain teams almost NEVER sign free agents. At least big name ones anyway.

Anyone else see this?

BTW, this is not a complaint but an observation. I think it is kind of cool because players really do have preferences.

Every single franchise I've had, Darren Sproles signs with the Patriots after the first year. It's really weird.

A lot of this has to do with what the player wants are... If you get a guy who refuses to play in cold climates, you're SOL in Buffalo, Jets, Giants and what not... Some teams just have more to offer to certain players so that's why you see them signing again and again on the same teams...

This might seem like a dumb question, but how do you make sense of the "player's interests" screen?

What do the bars mean? are they what he wants or what my team offers?

It's what he wants... The graph is not done correctly really, as it should go from highest interest to lowest... It also doesn't really help that you don't really get to see what your team has to offer...

Re: Free Agent Scripting?

I know one thing, i cant get Willie Colon to re-sign with the Steelers no matter what i do LOL

Is restricted FA still in the game? I enjoyed tendering offers and offering other teams RFA's...i havent been paying any mind if its in this game.
