How is ultimate team going?

So far I like the Ultimate team idea. I did break down and buy some packs. I bought 1 of each pack. I wanted to make sure I had a full roster before I started playing any games. The best player I got so far was Brandon Marshall. I did get Matt Stafford at QB but I was happy with Null from the Rams as my starter. This will keep my attention for a while!

Until they add a feature that allows me to play friends and/or a team within my overall range i will be putting this in little addition in the useless bin.


if you want to buy your team and make it a 95 w/o even playing a game thats fine by me but i don't want to waste my 45min playing you with my start pack.

I love the Ultimate Team mode. I wish there was rating specific tournaments or leagues or really any game besides the two offered to because i feel the games are pointless. The few coins you get from games may not be worth my 50 minutes it takes to earn them. A tourney that has a purse at the end would be cool. But for a first edition this thing is pretty sweet.
The most fun part for me is getting packs of cards, auctioning cards, and hunting down neat special edition cards (Brian Urlacher DPOY isn't cheap). Building a team that has good chemistry is kinda interesting. I like the contracts I probably wouldn't be a fan of the mode if you just owned the player with no stipulations.

I agree about the tournaments.

Here's what I'd do: Have it cost a certain amount of coins to get in on a tourney, and have the winner of the tourney get a nice coin payout.

There are many many things like that which could be applied to this game type which would increase it's value.

I don't want to give too much of my strategy away, but I haven't speant a single penny on this mode and have a team full of gold cards with thousands of coins left over after about 20 games.

If people insist they can't sustain a team, it's probably just because they really stink and can't earn coins, or they screwed up and spent all their savings on a 1-game Adrian Peterson card and lost him already...

Have you played any online games? I've had about 2-3 online games where I got disconnected (FG block glitch, challenge glitch) and wasn't able to earn coins.

When UT first came out my opponent quit a couple times so I quit and didn't know that would result in no coins earned.

i just played a game against the CPU and got no coins. lost my contracts but no coins. that is two games in a row i got no coins
