It's whatever to me, wether created-generated rookies or random-generated rookies. I'll still dominate in my franchise so it doesn't matter to me much.

Re: Back to Random Rookies?

Yeah random rookies sucked, I have a hard time playing franchise in Madden 05 because of it. Like it was said before just make every rookies name random like they did in Head Coach, and as for NCAA imports if they just gave them random potential I think that would go a long way. Right now the only people worth drafting are in the first round, but if you know their might be some A pot in the later rounds you would spend more time recruiting.

Yeah I hate knowing is who will be good. For NCAA draft classes, they need to do a better job at translating the dratings, but then make the potential rating random. I think that would be perfect! Right now I think potential is based on the player's awarness in NCAA. And usually AWR is low, unless they're one of the top players at their position. Even then, in NCAA you can be rated 99 with AWR in the mid to low 80s. Because of that, they come into Madden with a low rating and potential.

Because of that, the first few years worth of draft classes will be low, but down the road, they should be higher due to players progressing their AWR in NCAA.

How did we all forget that the only opinion that matters is that of TomBrady's and RavensFan2k3?

Re: Back to Random Rookies?

The EA created rookies are probably my favorite part of the game. They would be better with the little back stories ala Head Coach though.

I could never stand random rookies.

Re: Back to Random Rookies?

I like the custom-crafted rookie classes we have this year because they're thoughtfully done. With the generated ones you had issues with the balance of classes, random-looking attributes and odd equipment.

We just had the English draft in our OF, and I love that this year was a boon for QBs but lacked significant top-end talent at CB, for example.

I look forward to seeing how future classes compare.

Re: Back to Random Rookies?

I wonder if anyone who voted for random rankings ever played the old Maddens with them. Remember those ridiculous players as described... with 99 agil but 75 spd? Come on.... it was terrible.
