I started a franchise with all 32 teams and tweaked the coaching schemes to try and make it as real as possible (thanks dfos). I then simulated all the games so that the outcome would be the same as irl. Yes, this took a long time and I did have to play some of the games since the Patriots pretty much never lose when you simulate etc.
Now I've finally got everything up to date. CJ had 2005 yards rushing. Brees won MVP (40 tds) while CJ won offensive player. Sanchez won OROY and Cushing won DROY. I think Kampman won DPOY with 21 sacks. Favre retired and Julius Jones had a career ending injury.
Even with the scheme tweaking I'm seeing too many players with 20 sacks which is the only problem I seem to be having snd they seem to all be coming from LB's playing in a 3-4 scheme. Would you suggest I lower the aggression or change the teams to a 4-3 to make it more even?
Also, after the playoffs the draft will be the same as irl and I have the draft containing QB Denali and SS Boxx. I'm planning on drafting the first round manually and then simulating the rest except for the Raiders. Any ideas who I should draft for the top 10 or 20 picks? I don't know if anyone has experience with this draft but any ideas or advice would be appreciated.
Also, if anyone has a link to the draft pick trades that have affected this upcoming draft I'd appreciate the link.
