I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on how difficult it would be to program truly adaptive AI for CPU teams.
This is just a skeleton list, but things such as:
- If a CB is having a bad game, the CPU-QB should start to pick on that CB's side more often.
- When a QB starts to look shaky, the CPU-DEF could start blitzing more, trying to force a pick.
- The CPU should run in running situations and not while down 7pts with 2 min left.
Now, this isn't a gripe about '10 or even a wishlist for '11, I'm just interested in knowing if smart AI has been missing due to the inability to program it? Is it simply too advanced, or rather a situation where EA has focused more on gameplay rather than strategy?
