Re: A Video Guide For Madden Improvements
I think the Denver/Cinci game is a little bit over the top and unrealistic for Madden, but I'm glad you put it in your post nonetheless.
The first video is key... Joe Buck does a great job with fueling the emotion and on-the-field action with his voice. I really think the crew should pick up Joe.
Al Michaels is most likely the best bet for getting the play-by-play nod... but let's face it, he was barely above Hammond in terms of video game "emotion". Even in PS2 era Madden he had flat liners like:
"To the end zone.... caught... for the touchdown."
Commentary is the biggie for me this year. Commentary, a more network-like presentation, and realistic AI and fundamentals. Madden football needs to replicate the NFL - and it doesn't yet. The passing, pass rush, and blocking all need to radically improve this year. I think the best way they can do this is by simply redoing every animation and make them look fluid and naturally.
