Jaw dropping. This is what Madden needs to replicate. This is what Madden has been lacking for ever... The game has great graphics (though some proportions are weird, in my opinion at least), but those graphics mean nothing if the animations fall flat - which they do.

Compared to the video - Madden NFL 10 was laughable in terms of animations and presentation. I'm not saying it was bad, but compared to the video, it's weird to see people praising Madden's presentation and animations.

I'd really like to see some dev feedback on this.

Trust me - the Madden devs know all about The Show.

Very awesome. Thanks for the heads up before the "old news" zombies come in to feed on my "ignorant brainz".

Hats off to Ian, if you're reading this. Glad to see you took the effort to not only praise another developer, but to look to improve Madden NFL 11 into something of similar quality. Here's hoping.

edit- Gah, I noticed his post was from March 2009... months before even Madden NFL 10 released...

Comparing The Show to Madden is like comparing Filet Mignon to Buffalo Chips

I wish games were developed on the ps3 instead of 360

The Show is what other sports games should strive to be

Yes, it's great that Ian wrote that about The Show and says they set the bar high, but the fact of the matter is, is that Ian doesn't and Madden do not compete against The Show. It's like a fast food joint commenting on the quality of food at a 5 star restaurant. However, if The Show was a football game, Ian and Madden would be crapping their pants and he most likely wouldn't be putting up a post like that.
