Yeah, if anything, NCAA is far worse, especially than Madden 10. '09 had the horrible run / stop glitch (where the HB actually froze in place for a second), no pocket, same problem with rendering. Not to mention the unrealistic game speed.

If anything, NCAA needs to incorporate the game play from M10. For the first time in pretty much forever, I won't even be buying NCAA used off eBay next year if doesn't incorporate the Madden sliders / gameplay fixes, just no point.

Re: SMH @ EA

you will soon discover that the pursuit angles in NCAA 09 make the game unplayable......

all you need is a guy with 95+ speed, and there are plenty of em, you can pretty much score, or get scored on at will.

i had a hb that was 64ovr 99spd, 99acc. i could score about 80% of the time i got the ball to him.

Madden 10 is pretty solid, i dont understand the hate on these boards,

Re: SMH @ EA

I actually agree with you. I saw some aspects of NCAA 09 that really should have been in Madden 10. A few things: the wide receivers know their routes better than the cornerbacks, the receivers actually go up to get the ball instead of just trying to do over the shoulder catches all day long, toe drags, diving catches, the blocking is 100% better and more logical, balls are caught off of the tip, more varied tackling animations, and there are probably more that I can't remember. BUT there are things that Madden 10 does much better than NCAA 09: pursuit angles, throw speed, the QB actually backs up normally and doesn't SPRINT back, broken tackles, and again, there are probably others that I can't think of. But I do agree with you that NCAA 09 does have some good things going for it that should've been in Madden 10.

Ya, the pursuit angles are horrid. You don't notice it at first. Just take a fast guy and do an alligator run and no one will ever catch you. The players only run in about 10 directions. Its funny to watch a replay and see the defense players zig zag into the same angular pursuit. NCAA 10 is much better in pursuit and it makes that game a million times better even though the physics are rotten on NCAA 10. Madden 10 and NCAA 09 are no comparison. It is no even close.

Re: SMH @ EA

NCAA '09 was horrible. the pursuit angles alone make it unbearable to play. outside of online dynasty there is/was no reason to even try to play it, IMO.

Re: SMH @ EA

I dunno guys... for the last several years (since 07 to be precise), I haven't been able to touch NCAA after I got my hands on Madden. The gameplay is just TERRIBLE in my opinion, and the tackling engine in madden with the ability to break tackles and always keep the play alive, really makes a big difference for me.

Now sure, off-the-field (especially online dynasty compared to online franchise), NCAA blows Madden out of the water. But if we're talking strictly about the on-field gameplay, NCAA has been practically unplayable since 04.
