Offline Franchise setup-Rookie needs help

New to gaming and Madden 10. I'm unable to play online so I want to set up offline franchise for long term.

Accessed the Career menu/franchises/new/selected team, saved, have also selected all teams.

Then I go to Player management, see all the rosters, depth charts etc.

At that pt. I am stuck.....I see references in posts to;

1. Pre season/regular season schedule? Is it in conjuction with the NFL schedule....I thought you had so many seasons you could play and at any time?

2. Coaching mode?

3. In the sliders thread I see references to setting up individual teams?

Help is appreciated....if there is an online source for details appreciate having the link.

After looking at my players i usually then go to the coaching tab i think and change my scheme to what a) i want to run, mainly if i am going to be playing the games or b) what type of offense and defense my players fit best.

I believe the "coaching tab" you note is in the Franchise Hub....which I do not see. So going back to the beginning, when I select new franchise must be where I am making some type of error...know this is basic, but I am missing it.

good deal you found it. sorry i havent played madden in quite some time now. been hooked on NCAA football right now...

Find one of the threads about making nfl simulation seasons and change your coaching schemes to that.

I think you set each to 50 passing, 10 aggression and 50 rb1/rb2.

And on defense you set each team to 50 run/pass, 0 aggression and set each team to DE priority 50 priority, 100 run stop.
