Please, reread what I quote from the OP, you are not comprehending what he said.

Like OP said:

Quote:
"An obvious ramification of this change would be an improvement to how the AI values players. If you had the option to chose between two WR's with equal abilities, yet one is 6'2 and the other is 5'10, which would you pick? The taller guy without a doubt. But the CPU wouldn't have clue. "
The players have equal abilities (catch, speed, route running). The only variable is the height.

Those players do not have equal abilities! Your question is not relevant to this topic.

Re: Weight and Height Should Factor DIRECTLY Into OVR Ratings

Steve Smith 5' 9" is better than a 6' 3" Steve Smith. Why? Low to the ground, mass well centered with gravity. 6' 3" - 6' 5" guys have an advantage, but also a disadvantage. If a ball is thrown low to their knees, it takes them longer to go down and reach and then shift gears. Smith can easily bend down and maintain acceleration because he is closer to the floor. Jump balls, Steve can jump high but a 6' 4" guy can even higher.

Re: Weight and Height Should Factor DIRECTLY Into OVR Ratings

guys... seriously... take a science class... you only change ONE VARIABLE at a time... thats why in the steve smith example it was said that if he magically grew and managed to keep all of his previous abilities ... then the taller steve smith would be the better WR .. BECAUSE HIS AGILITY AND SPEED and everything else STAYS THE SAME!

Andre Johnson is the better receiver right now. but you'd be hard pressed to find a team in the league who doesn't want calvin johnson on their team

^theres you're answer, has nothing to do with this topic, but there it is

Maurice Jones-Drew 5' 7" 208lbs vs Shawne Merriman 6' 4" 265lbs

Does height and weight really matter? No, but height and weight should factor into the rating I agree. A Lineman who is 6' 5" 305 should be better than a Lineman who is 6' 5" 275 pounds.
