Does a player's salary affect the way he plays on the field? I drafted WR Terrance Trunk and converted him to a tight end because his OVR was higher as a tight end.When I throw the ball to him it is very rare that he will catch it and his catch rating is in the high 80s.I have another TE with a low 70s catch rating and he catches more than Trunk.Would his salary affect his playing or was it because I changed his position?

His awareness is 59 and catch in traffic is 98

Nah, It prob cause he a rookie ... From what I've seen first hand rookies drop alot of balls ... No Homo ... But I had a rookie TE that was a pass catcher but his first year he dropped so many open PA catches ... He became alot better his 2nd year in the league

Hmmm, I saw this thread title and I thought you were raising a different question altogether. Namely:

Does a player perform better in a contract year?

If we ever got to a point in Madden where this was factored in (with other variables), I'd be amazed. Not necessarily needed, but it would be an eye-opening attempt to be authentic. Of course, it'd probably be glitchy, and players would get like a +20 ratings boost. But I can postulate, right?

Now this is the problem he is in his 2nd year now and he is still dropping tons of passes

LoL, Then IDK ... Maybe he just not a good pro ... If Madden had some bumbs with good ratings, That would be realistic ...

Like Landry fast in my dynasty but he misses alot of coverage reads, somewhat like real life ... But his coverage ratings aren't stellar

Well here at my job it seems when they froze raises they froze morale as well!
