New Video of NCAA shows some awesome features that hopefully make it in madden 11!

Lastly, as far as fluid animations go, I watched that video many times and have watched every player in the play to see what they do and how it looks. To me it looks MUCH more fluid then what we had in previous next-gen football games. I also agree that the tackle animation looked great, particularly the second player piling on when the RB was on his way down. That is exactly how football should look and that happens almost every play. Dont get me wrong the animations have been a BIG reason why I have not been able to get into these games the last few years. They have been awful IMO and it is almost embarassing they were that bad 5 years into next-gen. That particular play looks very promising in the animation department IMHO. (One more positive in the video that I havent seen anyone mention. If you are listening to the video with sound the crowd sounds electric. It roars once the collision takes place in the backfield and seems to get even louder as the defensive players are finishing off the tackle. I remember Ian saying that audio is a big focus for them this year and it sounds like they will finally be bringing this game to life. Its about time... )

All I did was point to past problems and say the video was too short to judge whether it corrected them. There are enough folks responding the same way to show that it is a valid assessment, or at the very list not out of the realm of possibility.

Don't most NCAA games operate like that? They kinda play second fiddle to Madden and it ends up making the college game into some kind of 'filler'.

Yep, this years Madden is next year's NCAA....with a few tweaks. It's been like that for years. That's why I think the video is on par with how it should be.....very madden 10-esque.

Idk how you guys cannot tell the difference. Momentum and blocking looks MUCH better. Here a little comparison vid.



forward to exactly 1:25... similar run to the right.. Blocking in the NCAA vid looks 10x better than what u see in madden. Also Notice the second defender trying to make the tackle at the end of the play and does not even interact with the ball carrier because that particular animation is over and a second defender can no longer "latch on".

Because it's only 3 seconds and it's only one video. I'm not saying anything one way or another, like other posters we are simply saying we don't have enough evidence to make a valid assessment yet.

I AM!!!! I'm saying it looks like Madden 10!!!! I don't know where people are getting this stuff from. Momentum looks better? How can you tell? He gets the ball, runs right and then gets tackled. Where is the momentum at? Blocking looks better? huh? The LB blew up the play because the RT missed a block. I keep seeing people say something about the 2nd defender joining the tackle in the vid. WTF? The 2nd defender falls over like he's tripping over the tackle animation. WTF? Where are you people getting this stuff? Now I'll admit, it looks better for NCAA, but it looks like Madden 10. That's par for the course.

EDIT: I'm not saying that all of this stuff isn't going to be better in the final game. I'm just going by what I see in the vid and everything in the vid, except for the double team, looks like Madden 10.
